Support

As a non-profit, charitable organization, NETN Dispensary of Hope operates through donations, grants, and awards. Naturally, our budget is very limited. In order to meet the needs of our population, we must purchase medications outside the distribution center, such as generic drugs, insulin, and testing supplies for our diabetic population. Operational supplies are an additional expense and each dollar spent on vials, lids, bags, etc. is a dollar that could have applied toward much needed medications.

According to the 2006 census, the population of Washington County was estimated to be 114,000. In Tennessee, it has been reported that 1 in 7 exist without health insurance. This translates to over 16,000 people in Washington County who are uninsured. Dispensary of Hope is asking that pharmacies consider sending any operating supplies you may have in addition to any short-dated drugs as a tax-deductible donation. This will help to keep our operating costs to a minimum and ensure we have the most resources we possibly can for our patients. We would also welcome your time and expertise as a volunteer dispensing pharmacists. Please call us at (423) 431-1570 if you are interested in getting involved or have other ideas to support our success.

We also welcome donations from members of the community who would like to give a tax-deductible donation.

Provider Donations

What can I donate?

How can I donate?

Are there things Dispensary of Hope cannot accept?

Out of date medication samples. If Northeast Tennessee Dispensary of Hope receives out of date samples, we incur the cost of having the medication destroyed.

Unused medications or products donated by patients. Per state and federal regulations, we cannot "re-dispense" medications. For example, Jane Doe is started on Levaquin. She becomes allergic an dis switched to Keflex. She brings you her Levaquin to donate to us. We cannot take this medicaiton to use again. As with the out-of-date medications, we would have to pay to destory it. Unfortunately, this also included medical products such as needles, strips, etc.
